The magic of Christmas comes alive, and to stage, in the Cumberland Valley this December. Grab the kids, friends and family and head out for a night of seasonal fun and witness the talent the Valley offers around the holidays.

H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center

The state-of-the-art Luhrs Center at Shippensburg University hosts a variety of acts surrounding the holiday season.
Melissa Etheridge’s Holiday Trio - Dec 7th: For this special holiday show Melissa will be performing songs with two of her band members from her 2008 holiday album, A New Thought For Christmas.
The Hit Men Rock ‘n’ Roll + Christmas Classics - Dec 10th: This holiday show is a hit-packed, fun filled celebration of the season including number one hits from Frankie Valli, Tommy James, Jim Croce, Carly Simon, Three Dog Night, Carole King and Cat Stevens sprinkled with holiday tunes performed in Hit Men classic rock style.
The Lennon Sisters Christmas - Dec 13th: The Lennon Sisters will be bringing their holiday gift of music to the Luhrs Center for a performance during their final tour, filled with traditional Christmas melodies and so much more.
Cirque Dreams Holidaze - Dec 21st: Cirque Dreams lights up the 2016 holiday season with its critically acclaimed holiday stage extravaganza.

Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet

The Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet is located in Carlisle and is a nationally and internationally recognized school of classical ballet. Around the holidays, they perform George Balanchine’s The NutcrackerTM. Performances are at the Whitaker Center on Dec 10-11 and the Hershey Theatre on Dec 17-18.

Carlisle Theatre

During the holiday months the retro Carlisle Theatre hosts special movies and performances.
Holiday Movie: White Christmas - Dec 3rd: The Carlisle Theatre once again presents Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. The showing of this movie has become a popular tradition at the Theatre.
John Berry’s O’Holy Night 20th Anniversary Tour - Dec 12th: John Berry is a singer-songwriter who rose to stardom on the country charts of the 1990’s beginning his holiday tours in 1996.

Messiah College

Messiah College will feature two holiday performances.
A Candlelight Christmas - Dec 3rd: Light glows in the darkness - literally and figuratively - as the Chorale performs both new and familiar songs of the season.
Christmas Concert - Dec 4th: Begin your Christmas season with this beautiful concert featuring a variety of Department of Music ensembles.
